So the Blues are a calling twice in one week, should be interesting to say the least!
First off in the EPL (KO 20:00 GMT) on the morrow and again next Sunday (KO 16:00 GMT) in the fourth round of the FA Cup!
With the Manc's now one point ahead of us after there late goal against Stoke yesterday, we have to get the right result tomorrow night and that's for sure!

So to the third round of the FA Cup and were playing Preston North End at Deepdale this coming Saturday (kick-off 17:25 GMT)! As I've stated before I really do like this competition and all it in tales, plus the one and only Bill Shankly OBE made over 300 appearance's for this club as a player, so this match has very special significance to both clubs!

I'm sure Rafa will play a strong side of sorts because he won't want the embarrassment, like last years defeat to Barnsley at Anfield again!

Neil Mellor now plays for them and he's there top goal scorer this season, should be a good game!

Well, after that not so convincing win over Marseille in the CL last week, we return to the BPL for the visit of my good mates team 'The Hammers' on Monday night at Anfield (20:00 GMT kick-off). It goes without saying we need to beat them!

With Torres out for at least 3-4 weeks and Aurelio out for two with hamstring and calf injuries respectively, its only going to get tougher!

Its the first of December tomorrow and Christmas is almost upon us, the time of good will to all men etc etc etc, blah blah blah!!! I say stuff that and the under achievers / act and together types at L.F.C. need to work out where its going wrong and bloody soon!!!!

I know its not all doom and gloom, we're through to the last sixteen of the CL and joint first of the Premiership (damn goals difference) with you know who! But when Dirk Kuyt is the top scorer in all competitions for us, something is amiss big time. Please don't get me wrong, saying that isn't a criticism of the player himself, far from it!

BREAKING NEWS.............................As I write this post the Arse have beaten the Chevs two goal to one at the Bridge, yea ha!!!

The game tomorrow night has now become a very important one. We have to win it and finally get the top spot...bring it on!!!!!

Getting back to what I was saying, my criticism is aimed at the way Torres is being rushed back when its becoming very obvious that his hamstring injury is far more serious than first thought (fourth or fifth time in his Liverpool career) and a lot of the blame must ultimately lie with the Spanish National team training programme, but also Rafa's substitutions of late are beyond me!!!!

On a side note we are to play Preston North End in the F.A. Cup and our old friend and former player Neil Mellor on the weekend 3-4 of January next year!

Probably The Best Beer (Team) In The World!

The French do not do alcohol advertisements, so our lads were not allowed to play in our usual shirts last night, it was a bit like the old days when football was about football and not just the money!

We won (1-2) which is very good, but we were reliant yet again on Mr. Steven Gerrard to pull the rabbit out of the hat, big time! His first goal was just sublime beyond belief and then scores again from the penalty spot (twice, due to encroachment on the first take) and that makes his tally of goals for L.F.C. 99, so lets hope his 100Th is something very, very special and soon!!!!

Marseille had us on the rack for most of the second half, but the defence and especially Jose Reina performance's made sure we won the day!

I just have to iterate yet again how much Riera's influence on our team is so going to bring big dividends this season, bring it on people!!!!!

Hallelujah, Praise The Lord!

After all this time (7 years I think in the premier league ) we finally beat M.U. at Anfield 2-1!!! It feels damn good to, the MOTM for me was Carlos Tevez! The reason being is he scored a great goal within the first three minutes and that had such effect on us (i.e. wake up call) that we turned back into a football team, finally!!

But special mention goes to Riera, Skrtel, Alonso and not forgetting Mascherano (Bargie Argie) for making this one of the most enjoyable games I have personally watched in a very long time!!!!!!!

Plus Babel for the second goal, in fact this game just might (I said might!) turn out to be the decider at the end of the season, if so it will make it even sweeter than it already is!

Damn good to see the boy's of SoS doing it large before the game! RESPECT!!!!

In The Begining There Was Light (Stadium Of)

The day has finally arrived!! The beginning of the BPL and our trip away to play Roy Keane's black cats at the Stadium of Light, will comment more on this after the game!

Well the first half was nothing to write home about and that's for sure! But in the second half it started to change with Alonso coming on for Frenchman Plessis (back injury) and with him altering the way the ball got passed around in midfield, resulting in a great pass that was picked up by Torres who worked his magic yet again and struck it into the bottom of the left hand side of the net from 25 yards out (83min)!! Alonso almost scored himself not long after that with a long range effort after he spotted their keeper (Gordon) of his line, but it went slightly wide!

On a down note Robbie Keane got in the way Torres earlier on in the match and blocked a possible goal but hey, its early days yet for this strike partnership!

So one-nil it was then and three points in the bag. Oh boy we so needed this win especially after Wednesdays extremely poor showing against Standard de Liege. Up next, Middlesbrough (Sat. 23 Aug. 15:00 BST) at Anfield!

The waiting is over, but last nights game can be summed up in two words for me "Bloody Awful" !!!!! How we came away with a nil all draw is beyond me, if it was not Pepe Reina we would be looking at being two goals down on the night very easily! I just hope it not a sign of things to come.

Euro 08 is almost upon us and with four of our players involved in the Spanish team, I personally will be cheering them on (No Show England) and hoping they all make it through unscathed!!!!!!!!!

adidas amigos / 'The Kid' did good!!!!!

First off, congratulations to 'El Nino' for getting his 33rd goal of 07/08 campaign (all competitions) and taking the record for scoring the most goals by a foreigner in his debut season, just outstanding!!! I feel 'The Kid' can only get better, especially if he can put it in the back of the net on the road in the new season ahead! As to the match, the first half was nothing to write home about, that's for sure! But then pops up Voronin to score a goal (69 minute) from a long ball up by Skrtel, then headed on by Torres to the Ukrainian who uncharacteristically controlled the ball well and pops it in the net, one nil then! Just five minutes later our Mr. Number Nine slots it through Cerny's legs to make it two, fair play to Spurs they picked there game up as well and made it a more entertaining second half, with Reina having to make some damn good saves and the woodwork helping out! So we finished on 76 points (the highest amount in DMW time at L.F.C.), end of term report=MUST TRY HARDER NEXT SEASON!!!!!!!!!!

Tararaloo time then, here is the list of names who I think will not be in our red and gold shirts this coming August! Kewell (already gone), Alonso, Crouch, Pennat, Itanje, Voronin, Carson and Finnan. More on my thoughts about these players in the very near future!

So to the end of season game at White Hart Lane and all it stands for, which in our case is only a formality! Or is it? I beg to differ!!! 4th place is ours guaranteed, we can not get any better or any worse, or can we? I hope not, but only time will tell and that's for sure! As I have said before, this summer will be a long and arduous one at that, the new 'so called' stadium has yet again been granted planing permission (need loads of dosh now!). Getting fed up of listening to the same cracked record on this subject, plus the so called ownership conflict will draw to a close by the end of May this year (if were really lucky). Pride and Prejudice!

Well the lads came out with the new home strip on yesterday afternoon, looks good if you ask me especially the almost black Goal-Keepers kit! Shame I will not be buying one until a certain pair of Americans are banished from the Bastion that is Anfield! Next years sales of last years stock then, on to the game and what a boring first half it was to, apart from Steven Gerrard's strike and it was outstandingly saved by Hart (worse luck).
The second half was all about missed opportunity's, the damn wood-work and Manchester City's goalkeeper playing as thou his life depended on it! But at least 'The Kid' scored (58th minute/ 32nd in all competitions) to give us all three points! Job done, last but not least Spurs up next Sunday at White Hart Lane (kick-off 15:00 BST). On a up note I thought Insua had a very productive game, DMW should let the kids come out and play a bit more in the future, I think he would be pleasantly surprised!!!!

It looks like a lot people this summer will be finding different employment in pastures new! Sven-Goran Eriksson being the latest casualty! As for the exodus from L.F.C. I have about six names in my head that will not be wearing our red shirts, when the first blow of a Referee's whistle kicks off the season this August! More on this subject at a later date.

On a more happier note, the boys of 'Spirit of Shankly' are throwing an end of season bash down at the Liverpool Olympia on West Derby Road (7pm-1am) after the game on Sunday afternoon (Kick-off 16:00 BST), I think its sold out but some tickets might still be available on the night at the door, I so wish I could go! But alas I live many, many miles away, damn shame.

On to our seasons penultimate game tomorrow against Manchester City, its all down to pride and getting the maximum points from the last two games! Plus I hope DMW lets some of the reserves come out to play, they need the experience!!

May the 1st is Labour/Union Day here where I live in the cold north of the world, so I thought it would be appropriate to mention the boys from SoS, no doubt on Sunday they will be out in force to bring the message back into focus, that we so want Messrs Hicks and Gillett "OUT" of Anfield and Liverpool Football Club forever and ever!! I can not iterate how much I personally loath this pair of so called human beings and not to forget the other couple of clowns in this sorry state of affairs, David Moores and CEO Rick Parry (Coco), how they sleep at night is beyond me entirely! This season is almost done and dusted, so its time to turn our attention to clearing out the inept and cretinous individuals in the board room and the dross from the squad, lets hope that DMW gets the funds to bring in some 'class in a glass' in this long summer of discontent! Well I'm absolutely 'gutted' about last nights 3-2 result (4-3 agg.). I really thought we could do, but it was not to be unfortunately and Skrtel limps off (22nd min.) to be replaced by Hyypia, which for me was the pivotal turning point of the game! Depression is not good for the soul or the amount of beer I drank last night, to drown my sorrows. So I will not dwell on the subject another minute.

I once owned a cap with the words 'GET IT DONE' brazened across the front of it, well that is exactly what Liverpool Football Club need to do on Wednesday night, when they travel to Stamford bridge in West London! We have to go there and do something we have not done for a few years, i.e. score and win! Its not beyond the capability of this currant Liverpool side, that's for sure. Some one said to me once 'The impossible we can handle, miracles take a little longer', well the team has 90 minutes + to make this particular miracle happen, if not then extra time followed by the dreaded penalty shoot out!!!! But hay, lets think positive thoughts shall we and hope and pray that it does not go that far, I'm on tender hooks at the moment and will be until this game is over!

Well what can one say about that very late goal? Apart from BLEEP-BLEEP-BLEEP-BLEEP-BLEEP!!!!!!!!!!! Etc. Etc. To say I'm not a happy camper is a understatement! If the ginger mingers days at L.F.C. were not already numbered, they surely are now!! Dirk Kuyt's goal just before the break was a peach of a shot, straight through Cech's legs and I almost choked on my beer because I laughed so much. We now have it all to do again next Wednesday at Stamford Bridge, and I 'do believe' we can get the desired result!

On a bitter and twisted note, the Brazilian Fabio Aurelio is out for the rest of the season with a torn abductor muscle. Bugger!

But before that, we have to travel to middle England on Saturday and take the Brummies apart! To secure our fourth place spot (Champions League football next season), regardless of what our little neighbours do!

Not For Sale & P45's In The Post!

Avram Grant is trying it on again for Chelsea by saying they still want to buy Steve Gerrard, what part of "It begins with F and ends in F" don't they get! This will be the third time we have met the boys in blue from the bridge at the semi final stage of the Champions League, lets hope history repeats itself again!! I think it will be another 'BIG' European night at the bastion that is Anfield, I can hardly wait! Definitely going out with the chaps to watch this match, that's for sure.

On to other matters, our feuding so called owners are taking there falling out to the next level, Hicks wants Rick Parry (Coco) to resign and Gillett does not, so another stand off! The TV interview Hicks gave made me want to vomit, I'm sick to my stomach of all of this terrible situation, something really has to give and soon! On the rumour mill Hicks Inc. will be turning up on Tuesday night to watch the game, if true then he and the rest of his entourage will no doubt get the reception that they holy deserve!! But I for one fear it could detract the attention away from the game, especially for the circling vultures of the media. So with my head held high and hope in my heart I will stride out and shout my head off!!!

Well its now been three wins on the trot, starting with the 'outstanding' 4-2 victory over the Arse (5-3 on agg.) at Anfield in the CL the other week! Still smiling far to much about that one, next up was Blackburn who we beat 3-1 thank god! It was not the most convincing of wins and the score line in my opinion did not truly represent the game as a whole, but hay its another three points in the bag for us!! And finally, last but not least we beat Fulham at Craven Cottage two goals to nil yesterday ! With Pennant apparently turning into the footballer I hoped he would all season, scores a great goal (17th min) and was all over them like a proverbial bad rash! Plus helps set up the second goal (Crouch 70th min) with a excellent pass, I just have to mention Mascheranos contribution, just brilliant! So to Tuesday night then and Chelsea come knocking at our door, bring it on people! I have the day off tomorrow, so more on this semi final clash and what is going on behind the scenes at L.F.C!!!!

Third Time Lucky? / No Such Luck!

This is the third time we have played the Arse this season and they have all been 1-1 draws! Unfortunately I could not watch the game due a prior engagement, I will have to wait until later in the week to see the re-run, eight changes to the squad line up for this game including Damien Plessis, brought up from the reserves for his first team debut and was outstanding by all accounts!! BB a.k.a. Peter Crouch (hanging it out a bit to long over signing his new contract if you ask me) scores the opener (42nd min) and had a very impressive first half!
But then Bendtner leaves Reina cold (yet again!!!!!!) with another header from a set piece (this record is definitely cracked), a mental note to DMW get this problem sorted out NOW!!! It is costing us big time!!!
So to Tuesday night then and the final part of the trilogy will be played out at Anfield, as an old mate of mine would say "My The Force Be With Us"!!!!!!!!!!

Darth Wenger & His "Foreign Legionnaires"!!

The Arse trilogy has begun! I have been on tender hooks about these three games, ever since the CL quarter final draw was done the other week! Went out for the game last night and so glad I did, forget the tense and nervous headache it gave me watching the match, (+ I have not chewed my finger nails since I was 7 years of age, but almost started again last night!) all square at one apiece on the final whistle! Adebayors point blank header (23rd minute) left Reina cold, and me shell shocked to say the least! But then Stevie G does what he does best, steps up to the plate and beats three Arse defenders to cross the ball into the front of the goal, and under extreme pressure Kuyt puts it in the back of the net (26th minute) just brilliant! So we now have the all important away goal to take into the 2nd leg at Anfield next Tuesday night (19:45 BST). But before that were back at the Emirates on Saturday afternoon (12:45 BST) for the all important Premiership clash, so bring it on!!!!!!!!!!

On a sour note, the FA in there infinite "wisdom" have just handed down a 15,000 Pound fine and a further two match ban (Domestic Fixtures only) on the Bargie Argie (Javier Mascherano). So no show for him in the game against the Gunners this weekend and the match at Anfield on Sunday the 13th of April (13:30 BST) when Blackburn come a calling!

Our one hundredth goal of the season (in all competitions) and who should score it but 'El Nino' and what a shot it was (7th min.). It got very scary after that, we should have put it to bed in the first half, but we did not! But with that said I did not panic, for some strange reason I knew we could not lose this local derby! So for a change I sat back and relaxed and enjoyed the game. So I will enjoy this moment with a grin on my face, and await in anticipation for the Arse trilogy to begin next Wednesday night(19:45BST)at the Emirates stadium in North London!

The blue noses are a paying a visit to Anfield this Sunday(16:00 BST), so we must be on our best'est behaviour! Otherwise the powers in charge will slap our wrists more, I'm still seething from the game against MU, if you could not tell! LFC need to go out there and perform, end of story!!

As for Gillett's statement about his "unworkable" relationship with Hicks, and the amount of e-mails + threats he and his wife are getting of late, it just goes to show there is no place to hide in this big old wide world of ours, and I had thought it had gone quiet on that battle front! Not a hopes hell in chance boyo, and for some strange reason the man himself and his son Foster (who by the way ran away the other month), are coming back to town to watch one of the games been played against the arse! Somehow I don't think they will be wandering down to the Sandon for a pint or two after the game, do you? Even with all the profit he will gain from selling to DIC, I do so hope the boo boys will be out in the Kop to make his visit a most memorable one!

The 12Th Man!

The shambolic egotistical display by the referee (Steve Bennett) in yesterdays game against the Mancs, just proves to me how corrupt this 'beautiful' game has become! Especially as he was also the fourth official the other night, in the Ashley Cole incident, I expect this debate to carry on for a while longer!
It is also true that we did not play to the same standard we have been playing as of late, and why Pennant was not even on the bench is a total mystery to me! To say I was very, very disappointed is a complete understatement! Fair play to the Mancs, as soon as they had realised Bennett was there 12Th man (Buddie) on the pitch, they knew they could do no wrong and took full advantage of it! The 3-0 score line flatters them too much. I still think they would have won the game 1-0 in the end, they always get the lucky goal from an unexpected source (Wes Brown this time). Well there's always Moscow!
The Bargie Argie will now miss the clash next Sunday against the blue noses, and no doubt Mr Brown Envelopes Bennett will push the FA for a three match ban! Just to rub it in, and to show who's "Boss"! Your 'card' is now marked Bennett, I'm sure I won't be the only one watching your future performances!

A Stroll In The Park, Part Two!!!

It's worth mentioning the little club next door lost 1-0 at Fulham the other day, it so makes my day when they loose! But even more so when they are hard on our heels for the fourth spot.
We now have to walk the walk and talk the talk! The 'stroll' begins tomorrow afternoon just down the road (M62) in the land of Mancunia, this is such a "MUST" win game for both sides! I feel it will be full on from the outset, for the first time in a long time thou I think we can actually get one over the mancs, the key will be to keep the Portuguese 'winker' and his side kick 'the shaved bear' in check, other wise they will be all over us like a bad rash! My old sparring partner on these occasions is not coming out to play on the morrow, due to a family thing! But no doubt I will be hearing from him in due course. I await in great anticipation for the game to start, so come on you Reds do it right!!!

A Stroll In The Park, Part One!!

That is the opinion of a very good mate of mine, concerning the upcoming games LFC are about to embark on in the very near future! Starting off with the much anticipated visit to the Red side of Mancunia (or is that the 'dark side'), then our little blue nosed neighbours come a calling one week later, followed by three games against the Gunners! It should be a very interesting few weeks to say the least, and that's only one way of putting it!!!
I'm so glad that we finally bought the Bargie Argie, especially after his first goal he scores in a Liverpool shirt was against Reading at Anfield, and with the Kop in full voice! That will stay with him for the rest of his natural, I would imagine! The 'kid' did it again just 3 minutes after the break, dear god I'm so glad he's on our side! And Babel so deserved to be on the score sheet, it was unreal that he was not!
Secret squirrel (Skrtel) is improving with every game as far as I can make out, good job really considering Agger's out for the rest of this season!

Apart from being the clubs anniversary today, lets hope we extract a painful revenge over Reading this afternoon at Anfield!
The one nil win (3-0 agg.), over Inter Milan on Tuesday night at the San Siro was just brilliant!! We now have to face Arsenal in the quarterfinals (CL) and again in BPL over the space of one week, its going to get messy that's guaranteed! Bring it on dude's!
Surprise surprise, not! Agger's out for the rest of the season due to having surgery on his recurring metatarsal injury, not good!!!!!!!!! My worst fears have come true on this subject, lets hope and pray he makes a full and quick recovery for the start of next season then!
"Spirit of Shankly" (LSU) are meeting today at the Olympia (12:00 GMT), so my guess is there will be another protest about the on going mess that H&g have got our club into! On a side note its Mr Greedy's 62nd (David Moores) birthday today, so lets hope the Kop give him the rousing reception he so dually deserves, and they 'rain on his parade' all day long, its the least they can do for him!

This individual really is one of the low life's of the business world, and that's saying something! Well it looks like DIC are buying out Gillett (49%) and Hicks gets the other 1%, so he's got the controlling share in his grubby little hands, worse luck! So this sorry state of affairs is set to continue, plus the on going saga has had, and will have in the future, more twists and turns than most modern day fictional thrillers!

Today's 3-0 victory over KK's magpies (plus another 3 points in the bag) is just what I needed to hear, I could not watch game live due to a prier family commitment, can't wait to see the re-run this week! I'm personally very glad Pennant scored his second goal in his Liverpool's career, even if it was a complete fluke by all accounts. I so like what he does on his good days (i.e. annoying the hell out of the oppositions defences), Torres and Gerrard do it again, just OUTSTANDING!!!!
Now to Tuesdays clash against Inter Milan at the San Siro, we must go out there and play with pride and confidence! And take them apart big time, PLEASE!
On to today's other footie news, Man. Utd. and Chelsea (current holders) were both knocked out of the FA Cup in the quarter finals by Portsmouth and Barnsley FC respectively! What more can I say on these results? Nothing, they speak for them self's!!!

Finally! The catch up game, and what a result! I'm so ecstatic about it, I've had Cheshire cat size grin on my face all day and still have! Torres, Torres, Torres! Outstandingly brilliant yet again, and Gerrard's corker in the 83rd minute had me screaming the house down! So now the Geordie's are coming toontown this Saturday, so let us give them a big welcome and around of applause as KK and Michael Owen will be a visiting, and so lets send them home with a flea in there collective ears!

The match today was not one of the most notable I've watched Liverpool play, but after the comical own goal by Bolton's keeper I had to chuckle out loud! We could have easily been two goals down within the first 11 minutes, if not for the wind, woodwork & Gerrard! Babel was denied twice after that by some very good goal keeping thou! Eventually he scored in the 60th minute, and so well deserved it was to! Then Aurelio steps up to the plate and takes a superb shot and puts it in the back of the net (75 minute), it just did it for me "Baby"!!!!! Another three points in the bag, and we are going to need all the points we can get just to stay in touch for the 4th place! Especially as the blue nose's won today by the same score line.

Secondly, Agger came through the reserve game earlier this week with no apparent recurrence of his metatarsal injury, so lets hope he gets his fitness level up fast! Because we need him up and running as quickly as possible.

Also G. Neville got his customary welcome and interactive social intercourse going with the LFC faithful as usual! As to Agger's very welcomed return, please let him get fit ASAP! We so badly need him at moment!!
It also seems the manager of the Sandon pub as invited Tom Hicks (not sure if its Sr. , Jr. or both) to meet Liverpool supporters representatives in a closed and safe environment! Yesterdays 3-2 win over Middlesbrough made me a very Happy Chappie indeed! But our defence was like a old sieve, with extra holes punched through it! And oh boy didn't it show? Thank the Lord for the 'El Nino' hat-trick! Plus the Bargie Argie's performance, we so need to tie up the loose ends concerning this boys contract and FAST! Before some one else does.
Strange substitutions, but hay that is DMW for you! No way can you second guess his decisions! As to Lucas's contributions, I personally thought he had a bad day, especially in the second half, which is a shame as I have a lot of time for the lad! The potential success of his future at LFC is outstanding and that's for sure! On to Babel's input, impressive ! Just watched the re-run of the match against Middlesbrough tonight, and what a dreadful performance It was! Apart from Torres goal, please let it be a better showing tomorrow afternoon at Anfield! Depression is no good for the soul, and after yesterdays comedy of errors! This cat ain't happy by a long shot, but fair play to Barnsley FC for living there cup dream! I personally wish them every success and luck, in the rest of there endeavors as far as this competition (FA Cup) goes, they will need It!! My mind is in turmoil at some of the substitutions and decisions made during this game, I can only hope that come next Tuesday night the real Liverpool Football Club walks out on to the pitch at Anfield! And performs like the club we love and know, but I'm not holding my breath, that's for sure! The only two good things to come out of this shambles were (1) Kuyt scores a goal finally!!!!!!!!!! and (2) DMW did not risk playing Torres, who by the way will probably not feature in the game against Inter Milan, worse luck!

On to other news, SoS have got there web site up and running, great news! check it out boys, they need all the support we can give them! That is all I would have heard if I had gone out and watched the game this past Sunday! But luckily I did not, so from what I've read, and what little I have watched , this was a typical confrontational squabble between the two sides, Points shared then! BBP should have scored early on! The rest of the game then became history, which is the sorry state of affairs at LFC at moment!

The other disappointment of the weekend was not watching the Man. Utd v Man. City game, that would have brought a smile to my old face, that's for sure!

No point in crying about the 'El Nino' injury fiasco, what happened has happened!! Its now time for the underachievers in the LFC squad to step up to the plate and produce the goods, BIG time!!!! CH€L$€€ on the morrow (kick-off 16:00GMT), Avram Grant is quoted as saying he would like to see his team "Drill the final nail in Liverpool's title challenge hopes with a win!". What parallel universe does this Russian glove puppet live in? For Gods sake! Anybody with one Iota! Knows whats going on in the BPL (football wise) at the moment, they would realise Liverpool's so called "Challenge" went out the window weeks if not months ago!! I'm sorry but its true! If we get fourth place I'll be my 'own' happy cat!! Its not all doom & gloom thou, we're still in the worlds oldest Cup competition (FA) and the Champions League.
Other things: This extra game to be played aboard, someone ain't done they're home work me thinks! 'El Nino' injured yet again on international duty! Out for up to 10-12 days. If we're lucky you punks !!! So no show for the Chelsea game on Sunday (kick-off 16:00 GMT) at the bridge, and no show for our home game against Barnsley F.C. on Saturday 16th for the FA Cup 5th round tie (kick-off 15:00 GMT). If we're really unlucky no god damn show for the Champions League Quarter Final clash against Inter Milan! (Feb.19th kick-off 19:45 GMT). So I'm not a happy chappie today as far as the injury situation concerning Fernando Torres goes!!! More to come on this, I feel it in my bones.

England WON!!!! (2-1) I was chuffed to bits by our win over Switzerland, even if it was only a "Friendly". Perhaps this will be good omen, I hope so! As I said before, we shall see won't WE!!! LFCFL-FTY-SoS Respect.See You On The Other Side!!

Tomorrow is the first game in charge for the New England manager Fabio Capello. He's even made Steven Gerrard the captain against Switzerland at Wembley for tomorrow nights game (Kick-Off 20:00 hours GMT). No surprise there then! The Italian's job is going to be an up hill struggle to say the least. Especially considering we failed so miserably in trying to qualify for Euro 2008! Well, we shall see, won't we !! There are so many of our players away on international duty (apart from Dirk Kuyt) that I'm worried and keeping my fingers and just about everything else crossed. Me I have no qualms about the Shareliverpoolfc mandate! If the logistics of this proposal can be worked out then count me in!! There are a lot of us out there (worldwide) who will dig deep into our own pockets to find the money, as individuals or as a group! I personally have never ever saved for anything in my life, but by hook or by crook I will now!!!! that's a certainty! As to the Sons Of Shanklys 30 minute demonstration after the 3-0 win over Sunderland, I say good on'em! the more H&g understand they are not welcome in the Bastion of Anfield the better, Hicks wants us to focus on the team and the new stadium and to get himself out of the blogs! Well i for one ain't going to forget him and will keep mentioning and commenting on what he does and will try next, gillett's silence on the other hand is ear drum splitting to say the least, do not get complaisant where these two are concerned!!!

Today was a good day! Forget the 1st half , but the second was so, so much better! We needed to win this game and the boys went out and did the business, Finally! I'll sleep a little bit easier tonight for the first time in months, but we must not get complaisant!! It is going to be a up hill struggle to even get 4th place this year! As for my wish list the BIG 1 is we thrash the Black Cats at Fortress Anfield and do it with some style, if I had a cat it would not be a very happy bunny at the moment with the on pitch performance or with the off pitch Shenanigans by H&g! But this supporter buy out proposal sounds brilliant! So that's my 2nd wish, if the finance can be found among me and my LFC Mates we would sign up today that's for sure, my 3rd and final wish is that they sort out the dosh to buy the bargie argie! Well it was a game of two halves, I´m still fuming about the result to say the least! But hay thy say every cloud has a silver lining, at this rate we will end up in mid table obscurity, lose on penalties in the FA Cup final and get knocked out in the next round of the Champions League! So if that is what it takes to drive these Americans out so be it!!! As for the game it self, the Ref was an absolute and total waste of space. West Ham might as well had a 12Th man on the pitch, and that's for sure! I could go on and on and on about the so called official! But enough said, we played very badly and so did thy, thank God! other wise the outcome could have been a lot worse, as if it could get any worse. LFCFL-FTY-See You On The Other Side!!!!

Well after watching the H&W game last night all I can say is yes yes yes! I love the FA cup and all it stands for, Lucas's goal was just OUTSTANDING!! It took my breath away........ and Benny's 2nd hat-trick of the season, the boy done good that's for sure! As for JP's efforts I'm so glad he's back, the annoying little git! as for the late and well offside knock in by the BBPOTP what can i say? nothing! apart from it made it 5-2 in the end. So on to tomorrows game at Upton Park and Ö boy don't we have a "Game On" !!! Me I'm out to watch the game on the morrow, having a few Glugs of the local brew and shouting a lot! LFCFL-FTY-SYOTOS

Welcome one and all to my blog site, the reasons for starting this site are two fold (1) Liverpool Football Club and (2) my own thoughts on life in general (past, present and the future). As for the name of my blog site anybody with half a notion of anything to do with LFC will know who spoke those immortal words and why! (RIP SHANKS) I did not get to see the game today, but by all accounts it was truly an FA cup game and we won 5-2 all credit to Havant&Waterlooville for giving their all and Skrtel scores on his full debut. Shame it was in his own net! Will leave my thoughts and further comments until I have watched the game. So now to West Ham on Wednesday, this is going to be a tough one!
